Why I'm Running

Meet Vince McGrail

I didn't plan to run for office. My wife Mollie and I have lived in Delaware, Ohio for the past 25 years and have raised three amazing children here. I realized that they don't have the same hope for the future in Ohio that I had when I was their age. In the past decade in their adult lives, they have only known chaos, division, and erosion of rights for people they care about in our country and our state politics. So instead of retiring, I decided this is what I needed to take on to help get our state on a better path. For the past 12 years, I have been an Executive Director for the Alzheimer's Association in Ohio, leading the work to help families impacted by this disease across 43 Ohio counties. I spent nearly 20 years at The Ohio State University, working with alumni to support scholarships for students and to make Ohio State one of the top public research institutions in the nation. I've seen how families struggle with the cost of education, health inequities, access to care, rising costs of living, and caregiving for a parent when you are also caring for a child. I've also seen how thousands of people from across Ohio can come together to make positive change happen for something they care about - finding common ground, regardless of all their other political views. It's time to take on the challenges our Ohio families face. Let's work to drop the RED vs BLUE divisiveness and bring that openness to work together to this district and to the Ohio Statehouse. We have to find solutions to the challenges we all share, and find common ground to help Ohio families. If you want to bring positive change please join me and support this campaign.
