Why I'm Running

Meet Vince McGrail

I didn't plan to run for office. My wife Mollie and I have lived in Delaware, Ohio for the past 25 years and have raised three amazing children here. I realized that they don't have the same hope for the future in Ohio that I had when I was their age. Over the past decade in their adult lives, they have only known political chaos, division, and erosion of rights for people they care about. So instead of retiring, I decided I needed to do something more myself to help get our state on a better path. For the past 12 years, I have been the Executive Director for the Alzheimer's Association in Central Ohio, leading the work to help thousands of families impacted by this disease across 43 Ohio counties. I also spent 17 years at The Ohio State University, working with alumni to support scholarships for students and help leadership make Ohio State one of the top public research institutions in the nation. It's time to take on the challenges our Ohio families face. Let's work to drop the RED vs BLUE divisiveness and bring an openness to work together to this district and to the Ohio Statehouse. We have to find solutions to the challenges we all share, and find common ground to help Ohio families. I want to play a role in getting us all on a better path forward in Ohio, like I've done with many challenges in my life.
